ABSTRACT
A good communication between the user and the supplier of cleaning and disinfection agents is necessary to solve the ecological problems or to establish the ecological strategy. The waste water amount, composition, its treatment and energy consumption are the major ecological problems in a technological process. The most important waste water parameters in food industry are COD, BOD5, nitrogen, phosphorus and AOX. The contribution of a cleaning and disinfection agents producer for solving the ecological problems is following: the chemical composition, optimised cleaning producers, monitoring and control of dosage and concentration, central storage and distribution of chemical agents. Such a closed hygienic concept is important from the ecological, economical and also from the QC point of view, so it has to be integrated in the quality assurance systems.

Key words: ecology, cleaning, disinfection, dairy industry.
